It's A New Year!

Okay, it’s almost February and I’m making my first entry for the New Year. I give up making New Year resolutions. I never keep them. I do have a few “goals” that I would like to work on in 2009. The first goal is to clear out the “junk” room so it can be used as a craft room. Then I’ll have plenty of space to stash all of the yarn I plan to purchase. The second goal is to finish all of my projects (like these mittens that took four months).






The third goal is to make something for myself to wear other than hats or scarves. Maybe I’ll knit a simple sweater or a vest.

Cable Scarf

I just finished my cable scarf. This was my first attempt at knitting cables and it was so easy. I'm definitely going to make another one before winter is over. Now that I've mastered this cable pattern, I feel more confident in trying other patterns with cables. Maybe I'll try a pair of sock?

Just Chillin'

I've been at home recuperating from surgery. Not much I can do but sit around or sleep. What a wonderful time to start a blog. Right now I'm in the process of knitting a cable scarf. I'm about to begin a pair of mittens using dpns. I'm also working on two socks on two circular needles.

I'm going to make use of this down time before I have to return to work.
