Winter Wonderland!

Even though it looks pretty, I've seen enough snow to last for five winters. I'm trudging my way to work this morning because they're not closed or on a delay (big corporations never close) and I don't have a laptop to take home. This is perfect day to stay home and knit or crochet all day.

I've been dog sitting my sister's Jack Russell and even he's sick of the snow. He's all white and he gets lost in the snow.

Sticks N Stitches

I attended Sticks N Stitches at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus Ohio. It was the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. the Chicago Blackhawks. It was fun to sit with a group of knitters/crocheters and watch the hockey game. I didn’t realize that with the lights out it was hard to see what you are knitting. Good thing I like hockey because I ended up watching the game.

Happy New Year!

It’s a new year and decade. I've given up making resolutions that I can’t keep. I didn’t even reach the goals I made from last January. They were cleaning out the junk room for my knitting space, finishing up knitting projects and making a sweater for myself. I think I had too much on my plate, so I’ll just pick one. I’m going to work on getting my unfinished projects completed. Maybe I can finish one per month.

Hurray!!! I just finished knitting my three Christmas gifts with a few days to spare. I’m going to start next year's Christmas gifts in January. Hope none of my potential giftees gain any weight between January and December.

Glad to have the week of Christmas off. Maybe I can start clearing out that junk room so it can become my sewing/knitting/beading room. A friend of mine just bought her dream house and her sewing room/office is to die for. I’m jealous.

Thanksgiving is gone and Christmas is just around the corner. I finally put my tree and decorations up. Well actually my brother did. I'm not dragging that heavy box out of the basement. And stand on a stepladder in the cold to string up lights? I don't think so. If it were up to me I'd stick the wreath on the front door and call it a day! I have to finish, I mean start my shopping along with completing a few knitting gifts (a sock, dog bed and a scarf).

Enough blogging for now. It's time to get those needles flying.
